Grade 11 — Reachable ground
Lock the hardest remaining schedule and set senior-year courses. Scope a focused ~12-month spike that can genuinely ship by spring. Decide SAT-vs-ACT fast on diagnostics and run a tight testing plan finished by winter. Enter competitions at the level the ladder allows now, and build a summer research or internship position. Ask teachers for recommendations in May with a brag sheet. Deliverables: a testing recommendation and a scoped spike plan.
Summer before Grade 12 — Set the board
Take an honest inventory of what exists, build a smart, well-shaped college list, and decide the essay strategy — which story, which supplements, in what order. Confirm whether one more testing sitting helps. Deliverable: a college list and an application plan. (Starting senior year? This is where we begin.)
September–November — Essays & early apps
Coach the personal statement to a finished draft by mid-September and the supplements before the early result lands, and get any not-yet-secured recommendations asked for properly. Early applications submitted, every requirement checked. Deliverable: finished essays and submitted early applications with a tracked checklist.
December to the deposit — Regular round & decision
Regular-round applications completed and submitted, decisions weighed as they arrive, and a clear-eyed conversation about fit, aid and the deposit call. Deliverable: submitted applications and a decision framework.

The plan is strategy, counseling, and essay coaching: the calls, the deadlines, the deliverables, the college list, and the college essays — coached draft by draft. The one thing kept separate is test prep (SAT/ACT/AP/PSAT), so you never pay counseling rates for tutoring time.
We build what's reachable. We don't manufacture what isn't.
Still reachable at Grade 11: a focused spike with real external validation, a tight but genuine testing plan, the hardest transcript the last two years allow, competitions at the level you can enter now, and a strong summer position. Two years is real time when it's used deliberately.
Can't be retro-built: a multi-year competition ladder from Grade 9, or a spike with several years of depth behind it. And at a Grade 12 start, four years of depth cannot be built in nine months — if a spike, a competition record and a testing plan aren't already there, senior year can't invent them. Any company that says it can is not being honest with you.

Is essay coaching included?
Yes. Essay coaching is part of counseling — we set the essay strategy (which story, which supplements, in what order) and coach the writing itself, draft by draft, never ghost-written. Test prep (SAT/ACT/AP/PSAT) is the one thing that stays a separate, separately-priced IvyStrides program, so you never pay counseling rates for tutoring time.
Do you guarantee admission?
No. At single-digit-admit-rate colleges nothing guarantees a seat. What the plan guarantees is removing the avoidable failures — the missed prerequisite, the competition that closed registration months early, the recommendation asked for too late, the essay started in November. We control the process; the process is what most families get wrong.
How much of the plan is on the website?
The purpose and deliverables — which is what you need to decide. The month-by-month tactical playbook is released to your family at each year's kickoff call, not published, because timing and specifics are the value.
How is this priced — by the hour?
No. You pay a fixed annual fee for the plan: the calls, the deliverables, and the judgment behind them. We do not bill by the hour, we do not meter your access, and a month that needs more of our time costs you nothing extra.
